Welcome to ÌÇÐÄVlog

ÌÇÐÄVlog is the oldest diocese in England, stretching from Maidstone to Thanet, the Isle of Sheppey to the Romney Marsh. We have 350 miles of coastline with historic ports and seaside resorts, alongside rural communities, market towns and commuter-belt urban developments. Affluent areas often sit alongside pockets of major deprivation, offering an exciting and challenging mission context. 

At the heart of all we do is a vision of transformation for ourselves and our communities: no one can encounter God and remain unchanged. In the Diocese of Canterbury, we want to increasingly become a Christian community transformed through encounter with Christ, growing and overflowing to transform and bless the families, homes and communities we serve: Changed Lives, Changing Lives.

Today's Prayer

Each day we pray for members of our diocese. Below you can find details of who we are praying for today, which we invite you to use in your own prayers.

Join us in prayer for Praying Together for: The Think Global, Act Local Conference


Today please pray for the Canterbury and Rochester Eco Conference ‘Think Global, Act Local,’ which is taking place in Rochester Cathedral. Pray for the speakers, the young people taking part, and for all who will be attending. Please pray that this will be an inspiring and transformational gathering.


Today we pray too for our new Diocesan Environment Officer (name to be confirmed shortly) and for the work of creation care to continue in our churches, especially at this time of climate crisis.


And finally, lets pray for each other in this Season of Creation, that our communities will participate fully in this season.
